Information we collect
When you submit a project inquiry, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, requested service, artist preference, placement, approximate size, preferred timing, budget range, project details, and any reference images or documents you choose to attach.
When you use the site, our website and service providers may receive technical and usage information such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring page, approximate location derived from an IP address, and interactions with the site. If you arrive through a campaign link, the site may store advertising click identifiers and UTM campaign parameters in your browser so they can accompany a booking inquiry.
How we use information
- To review, respond to, and schedule tattoo, piercing, ear-curation, or jewelry inquiries.
- To match an inquiry with an appropriate artist or piercer.
- To operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website.
- To understand campaign and website performance.
- To comply with legal obligations and protect the studio, clients, artists, and website visitors.
Service providers and external sites
The site uses WordPress and Jetpack services for hosting, operation, security, and aggregate site statistics. Booking inquiries are delivered through the studio’s email systems and may be processed in HighLevel, the studio’s customer relationship and lead-management service. These providers may process information for us under their own terms and privacy practices.
Links to Instagram, BVLA, NeoMetal, maps, or other external websites take you to services we do not control. Their privacy policies apply once you leave this site.
Cookies, local storage, and analytics
WordPress, Jetpack, and related website services may use cookies or similar technologies for security, essential site functions, and aggregate analytics. The site also uses local browser storage to remember a landing page and campaign parameters such as UTM tags or advertising click identifiers. You can limit cookies through your browser settings and clear locally stored data in your browser, although doing so may affect some website functions.
Reference files and retention
Reference files submitted with the booking form are attached to the inquiry email and may also be transferred to the studio’s HighLevel contact record so the team can review the complete inquiry. If a HighLevel transfer needs to be retried, a temporary access-restricted copy may remain on the website server for up to seven days and is removed sooner after successful delivery or final failure. Copies retained in the studio’s email or customer relationship systems may be kept for as long as reasonably needed to evaluate the project, communicate with you, maintain business records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations.
How we disclose information
We may disclose information to artists or piercers involved in your inquiry, service providers that help operate the website and communications, professional advisers, or authorities when required by law. We do not sell personal information for money. If our practices change in a way that is treated as selling or sharing under applicable California law, we will update this notice and provide any legally required choices.
Your privacy choices
Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain personal information, or to receive information about how it has been used or disclosed. You may also withdraw from future nonessential communications.
To make a request, email contact@inkwellstudios.ink with “Privacy Request” in the subject line. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
Security and changes
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. We may update this policy as the website, providers, or legal requirements change. The date above shows the latest revision.
Children’s privacy
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the website. A parent or guardian who believes a child has submitted information may contact us to request its deletion.
