Ages 8–17: Ages 8–14 are eligible for lobe piercings only. Your parent or legal guardian must attend with their valid photo ID and an original or certified birth certificate or guardianship document establishing the relationship. Bring the minor’s photo ID if available.
Nipple and genital piercings are available to adults 18 and older.

Clean with sterile saline, avoid unnecessary pressure or handling, leave the jewelry in place, and return for any recommended downsize. Your appointment-specific instructions come first.

What documents do adults need for a piercing?
Guests 18 and older must bring a valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID that shows their date of birth, such as a driver’s license, state identification card, passport, or military ID. Before service, you will also complete and sign Inkwell’s informed-consent and health questionnaire.
What documents are needed for a minor’s piercing?
Inkwell offers lobe piercings for children ages 8–14 in Roseville. For all clients ages 8–17, the minor and their parent or legal guardian must both be present. Bring the parent or guardian’s valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID and an original or certified birth certificate or court-issued guardianship document that establishes the relationship. If the minor has a valid photo ID, bring that as well. If names do not match, bring supporting legal documentation, and contact the studio before the appointment if the relationship is not clearly shown by the documents.
Can minors receive any piercing?
No. Ages 8–14 are eligible for lobe piercings only. For ages 15–17, available placements depend on anatomy, healing considerations, and studio policy. Nipple and genital piercings are 18+ only. Our team will review the requested placement before confirming your appointment and may decline or postpone a piercing that is not appropriate.
Do you accept piercing walk-ins?
Walk-ins are welcome for piercing from 11 AM–7 PM, Wednesday through Monday. Piercing is unavailable on Tuesdays. Call to check availability for same-day piercing. An appointment is recommended when you want dedicated time for jewelry selection, multiple piercings, or an ear-curation plan.
Can I bring my own jewelry for a new piercing?
New piercings require studio-approved jewelry selected for material quality, construction, anatomy, and fit. A piercer can inspect existing jewelry for a healed-piercing change, but outside jewelry is not guaranteed to be suitable.
When should I return for downsizing?
Timing depends on the piercing, anatomy, and how healing is progressing. Your piercer will give you an appointment-specific timeframe; return sooner if the jewelry feels too long, catches frequently, or you have concerns.
How should I care for a new piercing?
Use sterile saline as directed, avoid unnecessary touching or pressure, leave the initial jewelry in place, and follow the instructions provided at your appointment. Contact the studio if you are unsure about healing or jewelry fit.
Is the studio open on holidays?
Inkwell Studios is open daily, including holidays, except Christmas Day. Holiday hours may vary, so please confirm before visiting.
How much do piercings cost in Roseville?
Inkwell prices piercing services and jewelry separately. A single lobe piercing is $35 for the service, nostril and helix piercings are $55, and a septum piercing is $75. Ear curation considers your anatomy, existing piercings, new placements, and jewelry together. Our team can help you plan a balanced ear stack, whether you want one new piece or a look to build over several visits.
